It's just not in their makeup to tell the people the truth for truth sake. If they would, they would clearly say that companies must be democratic, that private finance is the greatest threat to the world in the last 4 centuries, and that states don't lend but tax. They can't say the truth, but if they do, they have a goal with it. They <> people with it. They want to suck in credibility, and then later turn that around as a weapon, having sucked in an amount of standing. What for: to further the dark empire in who'se domain their website is een located, and who probably pays their wages too. What else can they do ? The EU buys their propaganda, so they dutifully supply it, as ordered. About economics they know next to nothing, not fundamentally anyway. I also fail to understand how anyone in their right mind can give any head to people who openly keep reports secret. But worst of all I guess: who writes URLs that long ?! ;) Down with the evil empire, the useful idiots supporting it or not doesn't matter. This is our live and not their game. The useful idiots, the 'civil society' and all that, boy are they dumb and dense, which makes them so dangerous. They think they do the right thing, but lack the morality to know or even contemplate that they could be wrong. In my book at least, people who want to conflate money with power can never be trusted with making polities, never. They lack the necessary strictness for it, they are not critical enough for it. Power will already assume money toward itself, the polity is there to prevent that as much as possible (fight corruption that is). But the so-called civil society, the mid-layer in society who is so absurbed with how great they are and how civil they are, they don't mind a director having more money then others. Many people think this way actually, even down in the worst jobs of the proletariat there are people who are as primitive as that. They are absolutely everywhere, even in the communist parties, everywhere. Often polities get made up under great stress, and after extensive suffering, which provides a sense of order and duty. But now you see with the EU and so on that there isn't this stress or urgency at all, there is no historical need for the EU. It is a hobby project of the upper and middle classes. But they don't have the morality for it to make that go right, they don't have the critical attitude for it to cut away the money from the power and to demand duty and honor instead. Therefore there can only be one outcome: war and misery, imho. Can't turn this right anymore. It never could have gone right because the wrong people are doing it. Another great thing about extreme crises is that often you get new and previously opressed classes into power. They will remember more clearly the abuses of power, and may be motivated enough to make new systems that are less abusive even for their own future victims. Building a wider public movement to change things also tends to get many different concerns weighed in into the new design. None of that was the case with the EU, the EU is there to wage war pure and simple. If the ruling classes had wanted to make an EU to prevent war, they would not have fought WW1 or WW2, which where wars against European labor (world wide labor). It doesn't matter what the superficial reasons where. These nations wanted to burn off their serfs, who became unruly, and they did. Certain interests are always keen on world domination, and they started the EU project, which was all pushed by capital interests. Unfortunately the naive leftists then picked up the banner of peoples' solidarity, not realizing that subjugation under a single master is not solidarity or brotherhood, but slavery to a dark empire. A dark empire which was merely there to gather up the last remaining enthuiasm for war, bond that together and project military force elsewhere (Nato, EU army). Why do certain interest expect benifits from a global nation state, or first a continental and then - maybe through more war - a global nation state ? Because it can have no democracy. It is a war on democracy that has been on from the moment the vote was won. For the time being this is the strategy they are persuing: unity, unity, unity, then corruption. This global nation state, or continental nation state, could then collapse back into tyranny as well, so that angle is also in their interest. People are so dumb, that is very frightening. I don't think there is anything more frightening in the world then the dumbness of its people. This gives the enemy so many chances, they can pick and choose the way they want to play it. LEAP/E2020: just a few more useful idiots, probably selected for their historical and moral idiocyncracies. What would happen to them if they demanded credit be socialized, companies be democratized, and the EU disbanded for being unmanageable ? I'd like to see what would happen.
